 Jarl
Hill - Executive Director
Jarl and Elisa Hill have three children:
Joshua, Michael, and Isaac (left-right). Jarl is the Executive Director at
Bethel Christian Camp. This will be Jarl's
sixth summer at Bethel as the Executive
Director. Jarl is currently a Red Cross Certified Waterfront Lifeguard
Instructor, with additional certifications in CPR/AED for the Professional
Rescuer, and Emergency Oxygen Administration. Jarl has been a public high school teacher and came to Columbia to
work on his Masters at Columbia International University. Before working as the
director at Bethel, Jarl and Elisa volunteered at the camp several years in a
row. Elisa home schools their three boys, and helps as the office manager.

 Tom
O'Brien - Program Director
Tom and Ann O'Brien have three children: Thomas, Kendall, and Wesley. Tom is the Programming Director for Bethel Christian Camp. This
will be Tom's fifth summer at Bethel. Tom brings 13 years of
summer camping experience to the job,
and a heart to serve campers and staff.
Tom is a Red Cross certified Waterfront Lifeguard Instructor, is trained in Ropes Course Facilitation
and Safety, and is certified as a
Wilderness First Responder with additional certifications in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED,
Emergency Oxygen Administration,
and Emergency First Aid.
The O'Brien family comes to the
camp from Virginia Beach, VA where Tom had been working as an Engineering
Technician for URS Corp, and serving at Community
Church of Chesapeake as the Deacon of Worship. Currently, Ann is home schooling
their three children.
Their dogs are named Mel and Kurt. Mel is often seen chasing squirrels, sleeping,
swimming with the campers, or barking at the maintenance workers, and Kurt is
either sleeping or with Tom.
